Bio Ear plugs
Year 2025
An exploration to make earplugs from bio materials, that are composable in a short period of time.
Project in collaboration with Takara Hamaya and Julián Ortega Martínez.
After a mix of different bio materials, and tests with 3d printed moulds, this last recipe brings for ear plugs that get composed in under a month under outdoor conditions.
The purpose thought for the project is to solve all the plastic leftover ear plugs that end up thrown anywhere in outdoor festivals, events, etc.
These earplugs wouldn't cause an environmental hazard, as they would decompose in about a month.
